How We Operate
All abilities welcome. New swimmers start with 12.5m (assisted) or 25m events and move up as they hit qualifying times. The goal is improvement and fun 🐬🎉.
Before club night
- Nominations are made in the Swim Club Connect app (iOS and Android) and close at 5:00pm Fridays.
- New swimmers nominate for 25m events until they meet qualifying times for 50m.
- Can’t attend? Please remove nominations in the app to avoid losing aggregate points.
On club night
- Gates open with optional free swim from 5:30pm.
- Welcome & racing start at 6pm. Results are uploaded live to the app.
- Free trials or late entries go in “add-on” heats (no recorded times or points).
- The 12.5m race runs before the first heat for younger swimmers (senior swimmers assist).
Wet weather
We swim in light rain ☔. If conditions are unsafe, we’ll cancel by email and post on Facebook.
Safety & pool rules
Please follow official directions, stay within pool boundaries, and keep the area tidy. No glass in the complex.
Carnivals
We attend a small number of friendly carnivals each season. Families are notified early to nominate. Some carnivals charge entry fees. Relays are formed based on attendance and team balance.
Senior Swimmer program
For swimmers 12+. Help with junior races, marshalling, and leadership. Earn a badge and end-of-season certificate.
Qualifying times
Swimmers progress to longer events after achieving the qualifying time at least once on a club night. Once qualified, nominate for the longer event through the normal nomination process.
